Snutki embroidery and pottery exhibition
From May 27th inhabitants of Warsaw could visit the exhibition of snutki embroidery and pottery organized by the CEPELIA Foundation. Folk artist Barbara Michalak and ceramist Robert Jehn-Olszewski presented their works in the “Na Piętrze” Gallery at the Konstytucji Square.
Snutki is Polish eyelet or spider web embroidery typical for the south Wielkopolska region. Contemporarily they are still created by women from the Golina village near Jarocin. One of the most known is Barbara Michalak.
